The Louisiana Area Historical Museum is celebrating a milestone.
Board members recently held a “Tear Up the Loan” party. Thanks to donations and fund-raisers, the museum has formally paid off the remaining balance of a 75 thousand dollar loan.
The museum borrowed the money in August 2005 to buy and renovate the building at 304 Georgia Street in the downtown area.
The facility continues to offer local exhibits and hosts programs each summer.
