PALMYRA, Mo.– The Bowling Green Bobcats travel to Palmyra, as they take on the Panthers in a game of Rounders, which is what they called Baseball back in the 1800s.
The Bobcats are coming off a rough three games against the Elsberry Indians and the Hermann Bearcats. Bowling Green lost three straight games, two of those losses coming against the Indians and the other against the Bearcats. Palmyra has had a rough start to the season, as they are 0-3 within their first three games. The Panthers fell to the Indians as well, and they lost to Quincy High School twice in a row. Bowling Green is looking to rebound after a tough skid against some good opponents. Palmyra is also looking to get in the win column for the first time this season with a win over Bowling Green.
Bowling Green scores an average of four runs per game, while they allow eight runs per game against their opponents. Palmyra scores a measly one run per game, while they allow 12 runs per game on defense. The Bobcats defeated the Panthers last season with a score of 5-2. The Panthers have had a great track record of beating the Bobcats, especially in the postseason, but Palmyra has not beaten the Bobcats since 2021.
Be sure to come out and support the Bobcats, as they try and get back in the win column against the Palmyra Panthers.
