KJFM SPORTS — The Louisiana Bulldogs watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 6-2 loss to United on Monday.
United got on the board in the first inning. The Red Storm scored one run on a stolen base followed by three runs in the seventh inning. United’s big inning was driven by a triple by Ian Leffler and a single by Nolan Jenks.
Leffler was on the hill for the Red Storm. The pitcher surrendered two runs on three hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out 11.
Jack Logan was on the mound for Bulldogs. The pitcher lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing two hits and five runs while striking out ten. Brady Fisher threw one-third of an inning in relief.
Cameron Hunt, Logan, Fisher, and Syler Feldewerth each collected one hit to lead Louisiana.
