KJFM SPORTS — Louisiana is hosting their second home golf match of the season this afternoon. It will be another matchup with EMO conference golf teams from all around the area.
The Louisiana golf team’s season is going strong. With returning golfers who have a lot of experience on the course, with some new faces who are playing golf for the first time this year, it is a great mix of experience on the team. The returners, seniors Mason Howland, Jacob St. Clair, and Syler Feldewerth have been a great contribution for Louisiana. At the last home golf meet, Howland got the team low score of 51. The team altogether had a combined score of 225.
Some new faces to the team are freshman, Quincy Hutt, Madi Jenkins, Abigail Miller, and Leah Baker. Hutt played in the first meet of the season and had the lowest score of the team. Also on the team roster will be seniors Kamryn Gloe, Julia Polston, and Candence Talton. They have been practicing hard and are ready to show off what they have at a golf meet.
Come out to the Pike County Country Club tonight to see the Louisiana golf team and other teams from around the area. Golf match starts at 4pm.
