The public is invited to attend a candidate forum, which will feature three of the candidates vying for the Democratic Party’s nomination for the Sixth Congressional District, on Sunday, July 19. The forum will begin at 4 p.m. in the City Park on Court Street.

The three candidates are: Charles West, Henry Martin, and Dr. Gena Ross. Each candidate will be given 10 minutes to introduce themselves and to discuss their platforms before taking questions submitted by the audience.

The forum is sponsored by the Pike County Democratic Club. Democrats from throughout the district are expected to attend the forum which will mark the final meeting of the three front-runners for the party’s nomination ahead of the August 4 primary election.

The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. A voter registration booth and a booth distributing campaign signs and buttons will also be available. For more information visit the Pike County MO Democrats facebook page.
