CLARKSVILLE, Mo. — The Pike County R-III (Clopton) School District named their interim superintendent this Thursday afternoon.
Former Bowling Green and Montgomery County Superintendent Mike Gray will be stepping in to fill a vacancy left by Mark Harvey. According to school board president Christy Kuntz, the board reached a separation agreement with Harvey, leaving the top spot open in the district.
Gray, a familiar face to the area, came to the Bowling Green R-I District after retiring from the Illinois educational system. After spending several years as a Bobcat, he made the transition to Montgomery County where he retired at the end of the 2020 school year.
